I am going to do the adjustment of status for my husband. He is from Australia. We submitted the paperwork for the application. The application includes the I-130, I-485, G-325a, etc. He has been scheduled for the biometrics exam next week. Woohoo! My question is this: “What is the USCIS biometrics exam for?” Why do we have to do it? Is it a US immigration background check? Please help.
The biometrics exam is basically a background check by the USCIS. I think they are making sure that you are a legitimate person and that you have no false information in your application. congrats on getting that far in the application process hon! Cheers
